The Wonder of Nature - Coco de Mer X V&A

Coco de Mer and one of the world’s leading art and design museums -  The V&A , came together in the summer of 2018 to launch their first lingerie collection entitled  - The Wonder of Nature.

The first collection for Fall Winter 18 enjoyed global distribution and saw Coco de Mer delving into the V&A collections/archives and adapting things such as William Morris' wreathnet furnishing fabrics from 1882 to make a print in silk and many more elements. Inspired by the rich variety of the V&A’s world-leading and national collections, combined with Coco de Mer’s iconic lingerie and nightwear styles. They came up with 4 different ranges for the collection, which included merging nature with richly dramatic embellishment, and the collection celebrated the opulence of ornaments from Georgian glass to traditional Korean lacquerware in silk satins and tulles.

Rankin shot the look book and campaign and also directed a short film to explain the collaboration of these 2 successful and iconic British brands.
